E-Books by Paul Linden
I have written books and articles on a broad range of topics from computer ergonomics, pregnancy, and fitness to abuse recovery, attention disorders, and conflict resolution. These seemingly disparate topics all revolve around the integrated use of the embodied self.
The two children's books contain stories I wrote for my son when he was little, and even in them there are hints about the wise use of the body self.
Some of my writing has been translated into various languages, and as more translations are done, they will be added to the website.
Prices are for single copies of the books. Discounts are available for use of multiple copies of a book -- for example, as a text for a study group. Please e-mail email@example.com for discount information.
Please note that ANY BOOK WITH A RED PDF LOGO IS AN E-BOOK, meaning it is a downloadable file (not a paper book). All but one of my books are e-books.

The book starts with exercises for developing a sensitive awareness of a client's body, breathing, intention, and movement. That is the foundation for exercises which teach how to use touch as a precise and rapid way of helping clients become aware of problematic strategies for being in their own bodies and of the imbalances that these strategies maintain. The book goes on to teach hands-on methods for helping clients enhance their body awareness, balance, and centering.

Reach Out approaches peacefulness as a body state. The book teaches five short, simple, practical lessons which show how to develop kindness, inner strength, and a peaceful attitude. This body state is the foundation for effective conflict resolution and peacemaking. Free download. Also available in Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
This book focuses on the role of the body in conflict resolution and peacemaking. Conflict generally includes fight-or-flight arousal. That arousal is a physical body state which makes it hard to think or act in peaceful, non-oppositional, affirmative ways. The book offers a systematic progression of exercises, games, and role-plays which adults can teach to children to help them recognize the postural contraction and stiffness of fight-or-flight arousal and replace that with a soft and expansive body state.
