Body and movement are fundamental. Your body is the concrete aspect of your Self, and it is through movement that you act and live. By changing your body and your movements, you can find new possibilities in every area of your life.

In examining your muscle tone, breathing, body alignment, flow of energy and attention, and the shapes and qualities of your movements, you are looking at the solid manifestation of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and intentions and all the choices you have made throughout your life. By learning to move in a way that is relaxed, powerful, sensitive, and efficient, you can access an inner wholeness in which body, mind, energy and spirit are integrated.

BEING IN MOVEMENT® mindbody training  focuses on integrating power and compassion in the body as a foundation for effectiveness in daily life. BIM offers specific principles and exercises for improving performance in a broad variety of applications. In addition, we offer professional training in this movement awareness method.

ESSAY: Which Martial Art Should I Study?

In both movement discipllines, instruction is provided in three forms:

Group classes allow you to experience and work with a broad variety of people. Classes bring the interests and questions of a broad variety of people into the teaching situation and in this way increase the energy and scope of the learning.

Private lessons are designed to fit your individual interests and needs as well as your style of learning and individual pacing. Because of their individual focus, they enable you to achieve the deepest and most rapid possible learning and growth. When you have very specific needs that would not be addressed well by the general nature of a class, private lessons would be most appropriate.

Workshops, presentations and in-service trainings can be custom designed for businesses, civic organizations, medical and mental health professionals and other groups on a variety of topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, safe and comfortable ways of  using a computer or doing garden work.
